But then Miss Pharmacist said it would suit me best and would pay off better if I do MBBS on top of B.Pharm..... I've got what it takes and it would be a waste if I only stay in retail Pharmacy.... Clinical environment is better for me. hmm...

Why would I want a PhD???? - For the sake of the degree???? Academic sector???

MBBS on the other hand.... CLINICAL Exposure!!!! PLUS in depth DRUGS knowledge(From B.Pharm)!!!!However am not very good with my hands....

But thats what I love most..... Even in pharmacy, the clinical aspect appeals me most.... not only the unit we are doing at the moment but also during the real life application....

An international crime syndicate is believed to be behind an ATM scam
in Melbourne's CBD that may have netted criminals more than $500,000, police
say.

A skimming device attached to an ANZ ATM at 353 Elizabeth Street is
suspected to have scanned about 5000 cards in the past month.

bank has had to cancel more than 2000 customers' cards believed to have been at
risk.

Skimming devices are attached to the front of ATMs, creating a
fake slot for bank cards.

A magnetic reader then records the cards'
details and a small optical camera films customers entering their pins.

The criminals can then access the device remotely using a mobile phone
or Bluetooth technology. The details are transferred to a blank card, which can
be used to withdraw money from an ATM.

Detective Senior Constable Brett
Colley from Melbourne Criminal Investigation Unit said investigations revealed
that a similar scam had operated in NSW, Queensland and New Zealand.

Detective Senior Constable Colley said he feared more machines in
Melbourne may have the devices fitted and warned bank users to be vigilant when
withdrawing money.

"Investigators believe the people responsible for the
activities are from an international organisation operating within Australia and
originating from somewhere in southern Europe,'' he said.

"We need the
public to be vigilant when using ATM machines or accessing any information
within their bank accounts (and) to try and identify any skimming machines that
may have been attached before they use them.''

Three skimming devices
were found on three different ATMs on King Street operated by different banks
but were removed before any withdrawals had been made.

Another device
was today found on an ATM in Melbourne's south-east.

Police would not
reveal which other banks had been hit by the scam.

Detective Senior
Constable Colley said you would not notice the skimming devices unless you were
looking for one.

"Obviously you need sophisticated knowledge of
electronic equipment to operate the device properly and the installation also
takes a degree of expertise to know that it's not going to be detected easily,''
he said.

ANZ is contacting affected customers and arranging new cards.

ANZ spokeswoman Vanessa O'Shaughnessy said customers would be reimbursed
for any losses.

Police advised people to cover ATM keypads when entering
their pin numbers and to check the machine did not look abnormal in any way.

Investigators want to speak with two males in relation to the devices.

One man was described as about 170 centimetres tall, unshaven with olive
skin and was wearing a black peaked cap, dark blue jumper, blue jeans, white
sneakers and had a black and grey Reebok backpack.

The second man was
about 180 centimetres tall with fair skin. He was wearing a white peaked cap,
black jacket, blue jeans and white sneakers and was carrying a distinctive
multi-coloured shoulder bag.

Suddenly remember a friend of mine had sent me similar email regarding this issue happening in Indonesia.....

Looks like an ordinary ATM machine, doesn't it? In fact..... NO!!!!!

Ordinary Flyer holder? Not at all.... An optical camera was attached to the site pointed by the red arrow...

Cool huh?

Optical camera faced the keypad and screen capturing customers typing in their passwords. The results then could be accessed via wireless connection....... How appalling is that?

A patient, 11.2 kg, about 2 months old perhaps?? (was roughly estimating her age).....

Suffer pretty severe allergic Rxn from taking Cefaclor and Clarithromycin....

Her mom described it as rashes and swelling on her face.... also exacerbation of URTI

Went to her regular GP (the same bitchy GP I talked about in my other post)

GP prescribed prednisolone and ERYTHROMYCIN

By the time you read this you must have known something went wrong there.... (obviously with such a huge font size and distinct colour =p)

Newai Erythromycin and clarithromycin belong to the same drug class i.e Macrolides Antibiotics.

Now the quetion is if the patient is allergic to macrolide, why would the doctor prescribe another macrolide?

So, Mr Pharmacist gave the doctor a call and explained the problem here

Guess what the doctor said......

I am happy with that....

How cool was that????

Haizzzz Somehow I feel this doctor is really intimidating.....
I mean Face the reality..... He/She was putting the patient and Himself/Herself in trouble yet He/She still insisted to keep on going......

Anyway the parent was really worried and was thinking of bringing her child to RMCH..... so we dispensed only the prednisolone, told her to closely observe her child condition and let her know about the antibiotic issue.....

Hope the patient is doing well....

Sedang menyetir mobil bersama

Tiba-tiba penyiar radio di mobil menyebut 2 nama yang bikin
kupingku
tegak menyimak: Megawati dan Amien Rais....wuits...apalagi
ini....duuuhh...bikin
eneg dan muntab saja.....

Amien Rais dalam
satu acara di Magelang malam
ini dengan bersemangat njeplak (lagi) untuk
adanya Poros Alternatif guna
menghadang SBY dan Megawati. Lha hopo tumon
coba.....ini Si Mbah mbok-ya-o
sadar, sejak tahun 1998, mendirikan PAN,
penuh keyakinan menang telak dalam
Pemilu 1999, ternyata letoy, ambles
perolehan suaranya, menjegal PDI-P dengan
pembentukan Poros Tengah. Kemudian
jadi Ketua MPR langsung duduk manis tidak
bengak-bengok, tidak cuap-cuap
bersuara tengik dan tengil. Tapi setelah turun
dari kursi empuk, langsung
kumat dan mulailah membentuk
poros-entah-apa-aku-lupa-namanya waktu Pemilu
2004. Masih penuh keyakinan
memenangkan Pemilu 2004, full confident Pilpres
2004 cukup 1 putaran, dan
ternyata benar, memang 1 putaran membuat dia
kloneng out of the ring...berhenti
di putaran pertama karena perolehan suara
yang luar biasa rendah....

Lebih baik Si Mbah duduk manis dan
memberikan masukan yang berguna
bagi negeri ini, daripada koar-koar
cuwawakan dengan hobby utama poros-porosan
itu. Yang dimaksud dengan poros
alternatif adalah:

“Yaitu poros yang
betul-betul
mengejawantahkan Pasal 33 UUD 1945 itu menjadi ekonomi kerakyatan,
lewat
poros ini selain dapat menjembatani kebuntuan politik juga sekaligus akan
membuka kesempatan kepada calon presiden alternatif. Dia berharap, wacana
poros
alternatif itu muncul dari partai papan menengah ke bawah. Poros
alternatif ini
harus mempunyai konsep ekonomi yang mengucapkan selamat
tinggal pada ekonomi
liberal atau neo liberal”

Guuubbbrrrraaakkk......speechless....maksud’e Si Mbah opo? Atau saya
yang terlalu bodoh untuk mencerna kalimat Si Mbah ya?

Itu baru Si
Mbah....nah sekarang mari kita lihat Si Mbok.....

Kemuakan saya
terhadap
sepak terjang Si Mbok belakangan ini membuat saya menggali
dalam-dalam
coret-coret saya dari dulu....

Dengan ‘thema’ didzolimi
penguasa,
membuat Si Mbok dengan instan naik daun (ulet kaleee) di dunia
perpolitikan Indonesia.
Penyerbuan kantor PDI tanggal 27 Juli 1996 menjadi ‘tonggak sejarah’ dan
titik
balik partai bersimbol banteng itu. Men-Tian-An-Men-kan insiden tsb
membuat
simpati dari masyarakat mengalir, dan mencapai puncaknya waktu PDI-P
menang
telak di Pemilu 1999. Tapi apa daya, penjegalan dan manuver politik
Si Mbah
membuat Si Mbok tak berdaya dan pasrah menjadi RI-2 saja. Dengan
segala macam
dalil agama (again) menjadikan Si Mbok tidak ‘eligible’
menduduki kursi RI-1.

Karena Poros Tengah bentukan Si Mbah, naiklah Gus
Dur menjadi RI-1
dengan harapan bisa disetir oleh para ‘agamawan’ dalam
Poros Tengah. Tapi
namanya saja Gus Dur, kita semua tahu apa yang terjadi,
Poros Tengah kelimpungan
dan kebingunan dengan sepak terjang Gus Dur yang
gagah berani bak Don Quixote
menghajar kincir angin sehingga sungsang sumbel
jumpalitan didepak keluar dari
Istana dengan hanya bercelana pendek, tragis
dan mengenaskan! Analogi itu bukan
merendahkan Gus Dur, tapi menghadapi
kincir angin yang meger-meger tegak, dan
hanya seorang diri, rasanya
merupakan Mission Impossible jilid 7 to accomplish.

Naiklah Si Mbok ke
tampuk kekuasaan negeri ini. Para agamawan yang
bermuka banyak di Poros
Tengah berbalik 720 derajat (lha 180 derajat bolak balik
4 kali!) mendukung
penuh naiknya seorang wanita menjadi RI-1, dari yang
sebelumnya
mengedepankan segala kutipan kitab suci dan dalil agama, berbalik
total jadi
mendukung.

Di bawah pimpinan Si Mbok, asset negara lepas
tidak
karuan, yang jelas KORUPSI menjadi luar biasa subur, karena pada dasarnya
yang duduk dalam wakil rakyat (menang telak) adalah mantan penguasa jalanan
yang
naik ke kursi empuk, merebaklah segala praktek jalanan di Senayan dan
sendi-sendi pemerintahan.

Datanglah era baru....

Pemilihan
presiden secara langsung untuk pertama kalinya dalam
sejarah negeri ini,
menjadikan seluruh sendi kehidupan bermasyarakat,
berpolitik, berekonomi berubah
total. SBY yang didukung partai baru ketika
itu, menang telak dalam Pilpres
langsung 2004. Salah satu praktek demokrasi
paling berhasil dan sukses di muka
bumi berhasil ditampilkan dengan elegan,
cantik dan apik ke mata dunia. Negeri
demokrasi baru telah lahir, kemudian
dikenal menjadi Negeri Demokrasi Terbesar
ke 3 di dunia, negeri dengan
jumlah penduduk ke 4 dan negeri dengan pemeluk
Islam terbesar di dunia!

Belum genap 3 bulan dilantik, SBY – JK
harus menghadapi
kemurkaan alam di Serambi Mekkah, tsunami terbesar di dunia
modern
meluluhlantakkan 80% area di sana. Serta merta resources negeri tertarik
ke
sana untuk membereskan dan mengulurkan tangan untuk anak negeri di ujung
barat Indonesia,
walaupun ketika itu si anak negeri masih sedikit mbalela.....

Disusul gempa Nias dan gempa Jogja, menjadikan SBY – JK lebih
kuat dan bahu membahu mengatasi masalah bertubi-tubi melanda negeri ini.
Belum
sempat bernafas sedikit lega dan rehat sejenak, buuuummmm......tsunami
yang lain
menghantam dunia....diawali dengan sub-prime mortgage, kemudian
gonjang ganjing
Lehman Brothers, yang diikuti runtuhnya kartu domino
perekonomian super-liberal
dunia barat, menghantam juga tanpa ampun ke
kawasan Asia. Tsunami Ekonomi Jilid
2 datang....harga minyak dunia melesat
ke record tertinggi $147/barrel hanyalah
merupakan ‘kata pengantar’ dari
tsunami yang sebenarnya.

Pemilu 2009
menjelang....

Dan
mulailah Si Mbok dengan segala sepak terjang menggelar
berbagai macam jurus
usang yang selalu berulang, mencak-mencak sejak SBY – JK
menang telak dari
Si Mbok dan pasangan cawapres ketika itu. Kita lihat bersama
tingkah polah
Si Mbok tsb:

Sewaktu menjabat, pada akhir 2002,
pemerintahan
Megawati sempat menaikkan harga BBM, kenaikan tarif dasar listrik
dan
telepon. Aksi unjuk rasa tentu saja berlangsung. Tapi rupanya mentalitas
luar biasa menjadikan Si Mbok memberikan cap “gerakan ekstra parlementer”
yang
dituduh bermaksud menjatuhkan pemerintahannya. Bahkan dengan hebat
keluar
ancaman bahwa para mahasiswa yang berdemo akan dicabut
kewarganegaraannya.
(Sinar Harapan, 9 Juli 2002). Lha (again) hopo
tumon....saya malah tidak tahu,
peraturan perundangan di Indonesia
yang sebelah mana memberikan wewenang kepada seorang presiden mencabut
kewarganegaraan?

Kenaikan BBM semasa pemerintahan SBY – JK memang
tidak
terhindarkan, lebih dikarenakan external factors dibanding internal
factors.
Semua yang melek huruf pasti mahfum bahwa kenaikan harga minyak
dunia tidak ada
negara manapun yang tahan dan sanggup menahan lajunya, dan
juga sanggup menahan
beban subsidi. Sewaktu kenaikan terjadi, Si Mbok
mengeritik habis-habisan SBY –
JK, dengan segala perhitungan ajaib ala orang
tidak sekolahan (maklum juga sih,
Si Mbok juga tidak jelas tamatan mana),
menyebutkan bahwa BBM harusnya masih
bisa dijual dengan harga sekian dan
sekian.

Eh, sewaktu harga minyak
dunia turun, harga BBM juga
diturunkan pemerintahan SBY – JK, tanpa ragu Si Mbok
njeplak lagi (dalam
Rakernas PDIP di Solo, tanggal 27 Januari 2009) berkata
bahwa “pemerintah
membuat rakyat seperti yo-yo”, dibuat naik
turun....weladalah.....iki
karep’e opo Si Mbok (ini mau’nya apa?). Masih belum
cukup, sewaktu harga
minyak dunia turun terus, dan akhirnya BBM dalam negeri
menurut hitungan
pemerintah sudah tidak rugi dan bahkan sudah dijual menurut
harga
keekonomiannya, malah Si Mbok masih mengipas lagi bahwa seharusnya BBM
bisa
turun lagi.

Kita tahu bahwa subsidi pemerintah untuk BBM cukup
besar
porsinya. Dengan program konversi minyak tanah ke elpiji, dan kemudian
secara bertahap mengurangi subsidi BBM, toh secara nyata pemerintah dengan
konsekuen mengalihkan ke dana pendidikan yang mencapai 20% sesuai
diamanatkan
UU.

Tapi rupanya Si Mbok memang sudah mata gelap atau
gelap mata
entahlah, tidak tanggung-tanggung di acara berkelas dan disiarkan
secara
nasional, Kick Andy, tanggal 26 Desember 2008, dengan bersemangat Si
Mbok
berkicau lagi, prinsipnya Si Mbok mengritik habis-habisan kebijakan
tsb,
mengatakan tidak ada perlunya anggaran pendidikan segitu tinggi,
pendidikan
formal tidaklah begitu perlu, toh orang sekolah tinggi-tinggi
belum tentu
pandai, berhasil, dsb, dsb, dsb....kemudian Si Mbok juga
memberikan contoh
pendidikan yang baik menurutnya...yang sayangnya saya
tidak bisa menuliskan
ulang di sini saking bingungnya apa yang dituturkan Si
Mbok malam itu, tidak ada
satupun yang nyangkut di otak saya.....

Dalam Rakernas PDIP di Bali
tanggal 7-10 Januari 2007, Si Mbok
menjuluki SBY sebagai presiden tukang tebar
pesona, bukan penebar kerja.
Padahal Si Mbok masih ora nggrayangi githok’e dhewe
(masih tidak
instrospeksi diri sendiri) memangnya semasa menjabat apa hasil
kerja yang
nyata?

Di kesempatan lain lagi pertengahan bulan Juli 2007,
“hanya
bisa berjanji setinggi langit, tapi pencapaian hanya sampai kaki bukit”.
Katakanlah memang demikian, menurut pendapat saya masa pemerintahan Si Mbok
pencapaian bukan di kaki bukit, melainkan di ujung parit.....

“SBY
seperti menari poco-poco, maju selangkah, mundur 2 langkah” dilontarkan
kembali
oleh Si Mbok di bulan Januari 2008. Sampai-sampai dibalas telak oleh
JK, masih
mendingan poco-poco daripada dansa-dansi (merujuk pada waktu Si
Mbok turun
melantai dengan pemimpin China beberapa waktu sebelumnya).
Menurut saya lagi,
masih mending menari poco-poco daripada balap karung yang
tak pernah mencapai
garis finish karena nyungsep....

Sementara Obama
yang jelas jauh lebih
mumpuni dari segi ilmu, politik, kepiawaian
berdiplomasi, komunikasi, kearifan
sebagai negarawan dan politikus saja
hanya berani berjanji membuka lapangan
kerja baru sebanyak 3 juta sekian
lapangan kerja baru dengan paket stimulus yang
tidak main-main sekitar $800
miliar, ini Si Mbok malah dengan mengucap “banzai”
berani berjanji
menciptakan lapangan kerja baru sebanyak 12.9 juta di salah satu
janji
kampanye Pemilu 2004. Dari mana?

Kekerdilan jiwa Si Mbok sudah
terlihat pada waktu tanda-tanda kekalahan di depan mata. Dalam debat capres
di
bulan September 2004, Si Mbok sudah berpesan bahwa dia mau ikut dalam
acara
debat kalau tidak ada acara jabat tangan dengan lawan debatnya, siapa
lagi kalau
bukan SBY. Rasanya kejadian itu patut dicatat dalam Guinness Book
of Records
debat pertama capres yang tanpa jabat tangan.

Semua orang
juga tahu
betapa sempit pandangan dan kerdil jiwa Si Mbok, betul-betul tidak
pantas sama
sekali menyandang nama Soekarno di belakang namanya. Sebagai
Founding Father,
Proklamator dan Presiden I republik ini. Tidak satupun
peringatan Hari
Kemerdekaan RI tanggal 17 Agustus dihadiri oleh Si Mbok.
Luar biasa betul

Might be suffering from "Bleachopenia" (I coin this term meaning over dose of Bleach, and yes I'll have it copyrighted...... ><) Newai think bout it.... With a zanpakutou, I will be able to release shikai and bankai..... Imagine All those cool stuffs..... ha6 I even give him a name..... Guess wat? ....

And what's on my mind is such release will cause my zanpakutou to soar in the air, multiplying his blades and rearranging the newly formed blades with the grips meeting at one point in the centre and blades pointing outwards. Just like Magnolia.....
I would then be able to release all those petal like blades towards my enemies at any direction I want, thru and fro.....
Each blade will conform to the shape of crescent moon when slicing the opponents and thus got his name....
A long range attack weapon definitely.....

Sounds pretty amazing huh?

I will keep on searching for other Shikai Move and of course BANKAI.....
Would like to design my own zanpakutou as well..... lol
Wish I know how to use those design software.... ><

Berdasarkan sebuah survey, ini adalah beberapa penyakit yang sering dan biasanya dialami oleh wanita...

1. Nangisuitis
Akibat terlalu sensitif. Gejalanya bibir cemberut, mata kedip-kedip. Efek sampingnya mata bengkak, saputangan banjir, hidung meler, bawaannya ngurung diri atau terkena penyakit Curhatitis A.
Penyakit ini bisa diobati dengan obat Tegaridol, OBH (Obat Berhati Hamba).

2. Curhatitis

A very very nice movie..... Mixture of comedy and romance.... It's a taiwanese movie... so if you understand 臺語 or Hokkien you'll see why the movie is a good one.... Japs is also a plus... but not much of the story line is in Japs except for the past....

Main actors are 范逸臣 and 田中千絵(tanaka chie)

Wonder why so many languages in this movie? That's because Taiwanese speak Mandarin, hokkien and japs in everyday lives.... he6...

Last month was quite a trip.... hoho

Was fun and glad to see her.... Knowing she is doing alrite and meeting up new people... Such a satisfaction... wew...
Was the busiest month I had... er... Busy travelling in and out Melbourne.... Exhausted but worth it...

Qantas being Australian leading airliner is just okay2.... Definitely better than other Australian Carrier..... but I'd say GARUDA INDONESIA provides better service than Qantas... ha6 Not promoting anything here.... Just wat I think...
Oh tips if ya flying Qantas Domestic.... Make sure you book your flight during meal time like 12pm or 8 pm or 7 am.... coz you'll be served full course meal.... although food wasn't that great..... still it's better than their refreshment which is biscuit and cheese and apple with drinks..... Agree?

Newai this month will be starting my project and can see that will be super duper busy...
Meanwhile...... I didn't realise I spent too much this month....

It feels good when you don't look back..... but when you do.... Painful woi....

Went through a "Hillarious" Night in the pharmacy....

Guess What.....
A doctor prescribed Movicol half for a kid which DOES NOT have any constipation but experience pain when he wees....

I think even the shop girl would question what Movicol have to do with painful urination?

So after talking with the kid's mom.... I let Janice know and she called the doctor...

Guess how did the doctor respond?????

She was extremely RUDE and Told her that we pharmacists are questioning her diagnosis.... and hung up immediately.....
So Janice told what happened to the mother..... and let her know that Movicol is used for constipation relief and if the child is not constipated at all it wouldn't do anything....

Afterwards the mom actually left the store and SURPRISINGLY......
That doctor called back.....

She complained for THREE minutes non-stop.... How amazing was that? She didn't even gasp for breath......
We were there turning on the speaker and let her babbled for the AMAZING THREE minutes....

Guess what she said....

We know about our stuffs and therefore the indications....
And therefore it is our role and obligation to find out your reasoning if we think that the medicine is not used appropriate....
By the end of the day it is the patient's outcomes that matters!!!!!

We NOT only do Pharmacology we also do clinical applications of medicines and Quality Use of Medicines (QUM), which I believe you know very little about, amongst others....
We are Pharmacist NOT Pharmacologist!!!!! See the difference?
Dose? You think we are Calculators or something?
We don't spend our FIVE years calculating doses or dispensing medications....
Even the SHOP GIRLS can do that within weeks if training is provided!!!!

Still I didn't bother..... only after I finished my reading...... did I realise that on the seat opposite my row, sat a woman in her 20s-30s I supposed..... Holding can of aerosol paint and plastic bag.....

What she did was, she gave the can a good shake then sprayed it into the plastic bag and inhaled it.... Paint was everywhere around her lips and face.....
The look on her face was just so sorrowful.....
Such massive misery and hardship she must have gone through.....

At that time, I just felt so sorry for her.....
Why did she have to do that? Harming herself.... Making herself a slave of inhalants.....
Couldn't she think for herself for a second? Her parents? Her families? Her Friends? Her Acquaintances?
Sigh.... I feel like ripping that thing off her hands and lead her to freeing herself from such addiction.....

Why do I have to feel sad when I look at these people?

Alcohol to kill pain and escape from reality....
Drugs abuse for the same reasons.....

BUT the reality is these substances do NOT get them away from the reality..... They just have to face it.... There is no shortcut at all.....

Hope that one day these people can free themselves from such addiction.....

A person came in around 7 pm.... definitely a drug addict!!!! So obvious..... even one of the customer told me that he is a bit off his mind when I gave out her medications....><

Humans are just mere actors playing their roles to make the show successful

Actors play different roles each time

It is impossible for them to keep playing the same characters because once the show ends, a new show with different story line will begin

The actors have to leave everything they have done behind and start all over again

Those playing protagonists might now play Antagonists and vice versa

There seems to be no hard feeling within themselves wanting to retain what they've got in the previous play

Once the show has ended.... That's it...

A new chapter will begin and all the actors will just have to move on....

His playing is just so awesome that I think many people would be speechless and watch in awe... (Well at least I do)... ha6
His Vibrato is so intense that the notes produced with every stroke seem to stab directly in the heart.....
Also the feelings and emotions he incorporate into his playing further augment the vibrato effects.....

「第二大願：願我來世得菩提時，身如琉璃，內外明徹，淨無瑕穢；光明廣大，功德巍巍，身善安住，燄網莊嚴過於日月；幽冥眾生，悉蒙開曉，隨意所趣，作諸事業」。

「第三大願：願我來世得菩提時，以無量無邊智慧方便，令諸有情皆得無盡所受用物，莫令眾生，有所乏少」。

「第四大願：願我來世得菩提時，若諸有情行邪道者，悉令安住菩提道中；若行聲聞獨覺乘者，皆以大乘而安立」。

The first vow. ‘I vow that, after my reincarnation and having attained complete Enlightenment, my body should be shining like a brilliant light, throwing beams on infinite, and boundless, worlds, adorned with a retinue of thirty-two forms of the Great Men and with eighty physical characteristics of the Buddha, I shall make all beings wholly equal to me.’

The second vow. ‘I vow that, after my reincarnation and having attained Perfect Enlightenment, my body should be like a crystal in spotless purity both within and without, with splendorous radiant light, in the majesty of its virtue, sitting serenely, adorned with the aureole, brighter than the sun and the moon, I shall reveal my great power to all the beings in obscurity, in order that they may act freely according to their bent.’

The third vow. ‘I vow that, after my reincarnation and having attained Perfect Enlightenment, I should grant by means of boundless wisdom, to all beings the inexhaustible things that they may need and that they may be free from any want.’

The fourth vow. ‘I vow that, after my reincarnation and having attained Perfect enlightenment, I should bring those who have gone the heterodox ways to dwell tranquilly in the way of Bodhi; and those who travel on the Vehicle of the Sramana and the Pratyekabuddha to stand firmly in the Great Vehicle of Bodhisattva.’

The fifth vow. ‘I vow that, after my reincarnation and having attained Perfect Enlightenment, I should enable the innumerable beings to observe all the moral laws to mend their ways to pure living, and to obey the three cumulative commandments. Should there be any relapse, or violation, they shall again become pure once they hear of my name, then they shall not fall into evil existences.’

The sixth vow. 'I vow that, after my reincarnation and having attained Perfect Enlightenment, those beings who are physically inferior, with imperfect senses, such as, the ugly, stupid, blind, deaf, mute, crippled, paralysed, hump-backed, leprous, lunatic, or sick in many respects, shall all of them, when they hear my name, regain their normal appearances and become intelligent. All their senses shall be perfectly restored, and they shall not suffer from diseases.'

The seventh vow. 'I vow that, after my reincarnation and having attained Perfect Enlightenment, those who are tormented by diseases, who have nobody to whom they can seek for help, without a refuge, without a doctor, without medicine, without relatives, without a home; these poor and miserable beings shall all of them be free from diseases and troubles, and shall enjoy perfect health of body and mind, once my name reaches their ears. They shall have families, friends and properties a-plenty, and shall all be brought to the supreme Enlightenment of Buddha.'

The eighth vow. 'I vow that, after my reincarnation and having attained Perfect Enlightenment, women who are tormented by the hundred of sufferings of the female sex, who are much wearied of life and long to make bodily sacrifice, shall all of them, when they hear my name, be transformed into men instead of women, in the next re-birth, they shall get the form of manhood and shall in the end attain the supreme Enlightenment of Buddha.'

The ninth vow. 'I vow that, after my reincarnation and having attained Perfect Enlightenment, I should let all being to escape the evil nets of Mara, to be free from other non-Buddhist cults. If they should have fallen into the dense forest of false doctrines, I should assist and lead them to the noble truths, and gradually induce them to lead the life of a Bodhisattva and soon they shall attain supreme Enlightenment of Buddha.'

The tenth vow. 'I vow that, after my reincarnation and having attained Perfect Enlightenment, I should bring it to pass that all those who are recorded and condemned by the royal law to be bound and whipped, to be enchained in prisons, to be sentenced to capital punishment, to meet numerous other disasters and insult, to be afflicted with sorrow and anguish, to be troubled both in body and in mind, shall, when they hear of my name, escape evil kalpas through the awe-inspiring majesty of my blessedness and virtue.'

The eleventh vow. 'I vow that, after my reincarnation and having attained Perfect Enlightenment, I should bring it to pass that all beings who are tormented by hunger and thirst and who, in order to obtain drink and food, if they can carefully remember my name and cherish it, then I should let them taste the flavour of the Dharma, and eventually lead a tranquil and happy life.'

The twelfth vow. 'I vow that, after my reincarnation and having attained Perfect Enlightenment, all beings who are poor and naked, tormented day and night by mosquitoes and wasps, by cold and heat, when they hear my name and carefully remember and cherish it, shall receive the wonderful garments of all kinds, as well as valuable ornaments, chaplets of fragrant flower; and various kinds of instrumental music shall resound. Whatever they dream of, they shall have in abundance.

Today is the Birthday of Bhaisajyaguru Buddha, Medicine Buddha in English (Lunar 30th of 9th month)...

So thought of putting up a couple of posts regarding Bhaisajyaguru Buddha..... Since not many people know about Bhaisajyaguru Buddha. Might just do a really short description....

Bhaisajyaguru Vaidurya Prabha Rajaya Tathagata or translated to English as Master of Healing, Lapis Lazuli radiance Tathagata or in Chinese 藥師琉璃光如來, is the Buddha of the Eastern Pureland. Bhaisajyaguru Buddha is part of the Trinity (Bhaisajyaguru Buddha on the left, Amitabha Buddha on the right and Sakyamuni Buddha at the centre) in many Chinese monastery/temple.
Bhaisajyaguru Buddha is often portrayed holding a pagoda.

In the eastern pureland (lapis Lazuli pure land), Bhaisajyaguru Buddha has two main Bodhisattvas as disciples, Moon Radiance Bodhisattva (月光遍照菩薩) and Sun Radiance Bodhisattva (日光遍照菩薩)....
Bhaisajyaguru Buddha and Both Boddhisattvas are often referred as the Eastern Pure land Trinity.

Bhaisajyaguru Buddha made 12 vows before attaining Buddhahood....

HIDUP HANYA 3 HARI

Yang pertama: Hari kemarin. (PAST)

Anda tak bisa mengubah apa pun yang telah terjadi.
Anda tak bisa menarik perkataan yang telah terucapkan.
Anda tak mungkin lagi menghapus kesalahan;
dan mengulangi kegembiraan yang anda rasakan kemarin.
Biarkan hari kemarin lewat; lepaskan saja...

Yang kedua: Hari esok. (FUTURE)

Hingga mentari esok hari terbit,
Anda tak tahu apa yang akan terjadi.
Anda tak bisa melakukan apa-apa esok hari.
Anda tak mungkin sedih atau ceria di esok hari.
Esok hari belum tiba; biarkan saja...

Yang tersisa kini hanyalah : Hari ini. (PRESENT)

Pintu masa lalu telah tertutup;
Pintu masa depan pun belum tiba.
Pusatkan saja diri anda untuk hari ini.
Anda dapat mengerjakan lebih banyak hal hari ini
bila anda mampu memaafkan hari kemarin dan melepaskan
ketakutan akan esok hari.
Hiduplah hari ini. Karena, masa lalu dan masa depan
hanyalah permainan pikiran yang rumit.
Hiduplah apa adanya.
Karena yang ada hanyalah hari ini; hari ini yang abadi.
Perlakukan setiap orang dengan kebaikan hati dan
rasa hormat, meski mereka berlaku buruk pada anda.
Cintailah seseorang sepenuh hati hari ini,
karena mungkin besok cerita sudah berganti.
Ingatlah bahwa anda menunjukkan penghargaan pada
orang lain bukan karena siapa mereka, tetapi karena
siapakah diri anda sendiri.

Jadi teman,
jangan biarkan masa lalu mengekangmu atau
masa depan membuatmu bingung, lakukan yang terbaik.

Received this lovely story from a friend of mine..... So sweet in a sense, I think.....
Hoping and waiting......

Once upon a time there was an island where all the
feelings lived; happiness, sadness, knowledge, and all the others, including
love.

One day it was announced to all of the feelings that the island
was going to sink to the bottom of the ocean. So all the feelings prepared their
boats to leave.

Love was the only one that stayed. She wanted to
preserve the island paradise until the last possible moment.

When the
island was almost totally under, Love decided it was time to leave. She began
looking for someone to ask for help.

Just then Richness was passing by
in a grand boat. Love asked, “Richness, Can I come with you on your boat?”

Richness answered, ” I’m sorry, but there is a lot of silver and gold on
my boat and there would be no room for you anywhere.”

Then Love decided
to ask Vanity for help who was passing in a beautiful vessel.
Love cried
out, “Vanity, help me please.”

“I can’t help you”, Vanity said, “You are
all wet and will damage my beautiful boat.”
Next, Love saw Sadness passing
by.

Love said, “Sadness, please let me go with you.”
Sadness
answered, “Love, I’m sorry, but, I just need to be alone now.”
Then, Love
saw Happiness.

Love cried out, ” Happiness, please take me with you.”
But Happiness was so overjoyed that he didn’t hear Love calling to him. Love
began to cry.

Then, she heard a voice say, “Come Love, I will take you
with me.” It was an elder. Love felt so blessed and overjoyed that she forgot to
ask the elder his name.

When they arrived on land the elder went on his
way. Love realized how much she owed the elder.

Love then found
Knowledge and asked, “Who was it that helped me?”

“It was Time”,
Knowledge answered.

“But why did Time help me when no one else would?”,
Love asked.

Knowledge smiled and with deep wisdom and sincerity,
answered,
“Because only Time is capable of understanding how great Love
is.”

Love.... Love.... Love.... Not easy man.... but somehow hehe....

MOST importantly why does it come to my mind during this time?????

Issshhhh.......

Perhaps it can't be helped.....

Things should not be that way if both parties have their commitments.

Which means something not right was going on.....

But then again.....

All the efforts and moments.......

What a waste....

Aigghhhh.....

I am still myself afterall.....

The part of me that I myself can't change...... Nor can anyone else......

Which is the reason that I always 自己吃虧.....

On and Off.... eventually I said "Is that supposed to be a complement?"

and she said "You can take it as a compliment."

I still asked her whether compliment was a typo....

Today....

Was such a hectic and busy day...............

BUT rewarding and enjoyable at the same time........

So as usual, Saturday temple.... organised another exam blessing ceremony.....

Huge number of participants...... It was a success, I reckon.....

Darling ><, playing the Keyboard (he usually plays the violin but since noone's playing keyboard today we do a bit of swap)

and myself playing the violin.....

SQ can't make it today so there are only 3 of us.....

was good, I think.... everyone seemed to enjoy it.....

Given that it was a bit rush.... ha6...

Didn't prepare much just a bit of rehearsal yesterday and twice whole group practice before performance today.... wew

Glad it turned out all right =)
